Drone Debris Found Near Line of Control in Kashmir, Possible Link to Israeli UAV

A damaged drone-like object was discovered near the Line of Control (LoC) in the Balakote sector of Kashmir on Tuesday. Local officials and defense experts are investigating the possibility that the debris belongs to an Israeli-made Searcher Mk II drone.

The object was found near the fence at approximately 3:15 am, close to Government High School Dharati. Authorities collected the debris for further analysis.

Experts suggest the debris may be from the landing gear of an Israeli Searcher Mk II Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV). India is known to operate these drones, but the Indian Armed Forces have not yet confirmed if the wreckage is from one of their units.

Searcher Mk II drones are tactical UAVs used for surveillance and reconnaissance missions. They are known for their endurance, with a flight time of up to 18 hours and a range of 300 kilometers.

The origin and purpose of the drone remain under investigation. This incident highlights the ongoing security concerns and potential use of drone technology along the sensitive Line of Control.
