Exciting news for fans of India's homegrown fighter jets! Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), the company that builds the awesome Tejas, is about to make history. The first Tejas Mk1A jets built at their brand-new factory in Nashik will be rolling out in March 2025.

Why is this so cool? - Until now, all Tejas jets have been made in Bengaluru. This new factory means India can build these advanced fighter planes even faster!

Building India's Air Power - The Indian Air Force needs a lot of Tejas Mk1A fighters, and this new factory is a big step towards making that happen. It's all about strengthening India's defense and making sure our skies are safe.

Just the Beginning - The head of HAL says this Nashik factory is just getting started. They can easily make 8 of these jets every year, and maybe even more with some extra upgrades!

Very Good.
In news from october 2023 it was mentioned that first three LCA Tejas would roll out from Nasik facility by March 2025.

Now, in today's news Mr. Anantkrishnan has announced that first two LCA Tejas will be delivered by March 2025.

From past track record of HAL
Expect, in the next announcement later this year, to get news that only one LCA Tejas will be delivered by March 2025.

And then by March 2025, we will get the news that the first rollout of LCA Tejas from Nasik facility has been delayed.

That is HAL in a nutshell.

It is right near the front door of HAL’s Nashik factory for the last 5-6 months ready to roll out, but IAF is catching them not allowing them to roll out.

Very Good News, with 24 to 28 Jets per year 83 order of MK1A may Finish Before the schedule.

Your information about Nashik Division is totally wrong. Nashik Division has always been the cash generator for HAL and the only reason why HAL has always been in profit. Other divisions of HAL including Bangalore is a total cash burner. It is the division that manufactured more than 100 Marut, 400 Mig 21, 120 Mig 27 and 250 Sukhoi. I think if the entire production of Tejas is shifted to Nashik, the production rate can be much higher than Bangalore.

I did not give any data.

Just pointed the contrast between announcement made last year and the announcement made today where the commitment has come down from 3 to 2 by March 2025.

Nothing against Nasik division.

Rest, one can form own opinion.

I’d be very surprised if they deliver anything from Nashik by Mar 2025. For the roll out of 1st Mk1A from Nashik, general estimate is T0 + 2.5Years. T0 is order of additional 97 Mk1A.

It’d be indeed extreme proactiveness on the part of HAL, if they are stretching it to T0 itself. Who knows … it maybe T0 minus too. MOD and IAF might take another 3-4 years before they place this new order like they did for the order of 83.

Let’s us see. 1 year will fly.

Partly agree. Tumkuru division has always been profitable and even meeting the schedule.

These people are knowledgeable and what they say is part of propaganda. You won’t change their perspective. But continue sharing the info as it counters their canard and will reach to wider audience and shape broader public opinion.

If Nashik kicks in by 2025 and reaches full capacity by 2026, 83 Mk1A will be delivered ahead of time, very rare for HAL.

If HAL is announcing it will roll out by March 2025, then there is hope that it will actually roll out by Dec 2025 !

We don't have the necessary numbers of engines. Even if you scale up the capacity of every single other supplier, engines will become an issue.

Not happening. The engine bottleneck, at the very least, is still very much present.

Lol, the fun thing would be to sack him if this doesnt happen due to HAL's delays....the earlier e start making examples of incompetence, the better it will be for all of us

Forget the engine. First let HAL get to 50% utilization rate. At the current levels, HAL can go to 100% and still not face any engine delivery related issues. So we are far from that stage.

somebody needs to gag this clown ananthakrishnan. No HAL employee should step out until they deliver their commitments. Work, eat and sleep in HAL prison
