Israel Aerospace Industries launches Indian subsidiary

Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) inaugurated its Indian subsidiary, AeroSpace Services India (ASI), in New Delhi on Wednesday.

“IAI proudly presents ASI as our first major milestone towards India’s Atmanirbhar Bharat vision on self-reliance. India and Israel’s partnership has witnessed state-of-the-art achievement. This growth and development will create history when our two nations will foster IAI’s technology and India’s talent and expertise in the Defence sector. Together we will make Atmanirbhar Bharat,” said IAI’s President and CEO Boaz Levy.

Israel Aerospace Industries refers to an Indian government initiative to increase the country’s self-reliance.

Based in New Delhi, ASI employs a workforce of 50, of whom 97% are Indian nationals. By working locally, ASI aims to reduce turnaround time and lower the cost of repairs and service operations.

ASI trades in Indian Rupees and is the sole authorized original equipment manufacturer’s Technical Representative for the entire Medium Range Surface-to-Air Missile (MRSAM) system used by the Indian Army, Air Force, and Navy. The system includes an advanced phased array radar, command and control, mobile launchers and interceptors with advanced RF seeker. MRSAM is jointly developed by IAI and India’s Defence Research & Development Organisation for the Indian forces.

The inauguration comes on the heels of IAI signing a strategic partnership with the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi to foster research initiatives through collaborative projects, training programs, and research consultancy in early March.

Israel is a much better partner than France or US, if the option is there. It is world leader when it comes to cybersecurity. Israel does not overprice its products like france or US does and does not meddle in internal affairs of india like US or EU, and does not take moral high ground regarding human rights. Israel is in same situation as India, when it comes to terrorism and having hostile neighbours. Israel and India are like a match made in heaven.

No need for India to be excited at all.

India put up 100% funding for MRSAM but it did not get 100% TOT or IP rights.
Obviously, it indicates that ASI is 100% owned by IAI and it will service all those subsystems to make money.

It is like one puts up his own money to build a home and then he pays rent to the builder to live in his own home.
What kind of deal is this?

What does India do now?
Stop wrong way to write such one-sided and egregious contracts by crooked MoD/DRDO officials.
Sad indeed.

It's good that they have created a Indian subsidiary as they can now service and provide indigenously manufactured parts and components for the large Israeli equipment that we use like the drones, SAM, and missiles. This will reduce the amount of money it would take to maintain or repair any parts as it will be made in India which benefits India by providing high value jobs along with saving us a lot of money by paying in rupee rather than dollars.

However just by creating this subsidiary it should not be used to sell more Israeli weapons, missiles or crucial technology at all. This should only be seen as a temporary military company until we indigenously design and develop a alternative weapon or drone. This subsidiary will help on a short term basis only but it should not be seen as a long term, reliable and cost effective solution.

All well (or not), but never forget that they are Abrahams aulaad. Abraham was an Asur who hated moortis. Besides, he was very h0rny and v0kked his wife's very young maid at the age of 80. And he was ready to slaughter his son for some god he had never seen. In short, he was a man who would sell his m0ther without any problem. Many Yahudis today have the same spirit.
