Indian Army builds Asia’s highest bridge at 16k ft above sea level along LAC

The Indian Army has constructed Asia's highest bridge at the Indo-China border or the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Ladakh.

Built by the Border Road Organisation (BRO), the Colonel Chewang Rinchen Bridge connects Durbuk and Daulat Beg Oldie in eastern Ladakh.

The construction of the bridge makes the delivery of necessary goods and weapons, to the Indian troops stationed at the border, easier. The Army constructed the bridge in under 15 months.

The bridge was inaugurated on by Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh.
